1220 Series Silicone adhesive sealants for electronic equipment
|
|
|
The products in the ThreeBond 1220 series are one-component silicone adhesive sealants for the bonding, fix-sealing, coating, and potting of electrical and electronic parts. Conventional de-alcohol silicone RTV rubbers have slow surface-curing and deep-curing properties, as well as unsatisfactory storage stability. The products in the 1220 series show remarkable improvements in all these properties. They dry and cure quickly at room temperature, they are resistant to corrosion, and they have excellent storage stability.

ThreeBond 1220 is a silicone adhesive sealant developed for use in electric and electronic equipment. The slow speed of surface curing and deep curing, a serious demerit in the conventional de-alcohol RTV silicon, has been improved, and the curing speed has been improved remarkably comparing to the common RTV silicone. These products are suitable for bonding and for the sealing, coating, and potting of general electric and electronic equipment.
-
Have less effect on metals because they are de-alcohol types.
-
Have less effect on plastics.
-
Dry quickly, and offer excellent deep curing.
-
Form excellent bonds to most adherends.
-
Are silicone-based and have excellent resistance to heat and cold.
-
Never fail to cure, even in contact with an addition-type silicone.
-
These sealants are typically applied in fixing electronic components to a printed-circuit board, in sealing connectors, in the dielectric sealing of electric apparatus, and in the moisture-proof coating of devices.
Available in clear (1220C) and white (1220D)

ThreeBond 1221 is a silicone adhesive sealants developed for use in electric and electronic equipment.
-
Do not corrode metal, because they contain no alcohol.
-
Have little effect on plastics.
-
Dry quickly, and offer excellent deep curing.
-
Form excellent bonds to most adherends.
-
Are silicone-based and have excellent resistance to heat and cold.
-
Never fail to cure, even in contact with an addition-type silicone.
-
These sealants are typically applied in fixing electronic components to a printed-circuit board, in sealing connectors, in the dielectric sealing of electric apparatus, and in the moisture-proof coating of devices

ThreeBond 1222B: Electric contact-failure proof type ThreeBond 1222C: Nonflammable (equivalent to UL94V-0), electric contact-failure proof type. ThreeBond 1222B and 1222C are one-component-based, room-temperature-curing, silicone adhesive sealants. They contain no alcohol, and therefore they do not cause copper to corrode and do not damage plastics. The slow speed of surface curing and deep curing, a serious demerit in the conventional de-alcohol RTV silicon, has been improved. These silicone adhesive sealants are epoch-making because they dry and cure quickly and have better qualities of initial curing and deep curing than ordinary RTV rubber.
Because ThreeBond 1222B and 1222C dry quickly, they are suitable for use on parts that must be fixed quickly. They are epoch-making products because the low-molecular siloxane component that can cause electric contacts to fail has been greatly reduced. By using one of these products, you can avoid contact failures in micro-motors, in airtight or semi-airtight electronic equipment containing such mechanical parts as electric contacts in relays, and in switches that have low load energy. Also, you can avoid such accidents as a stoppage of a rotating motor due to excessive wear of the brushes. ThreeBond 1222C complies with the U.S. UL94 V-0 for a thickness of 0.72mm.
ThreeBond 1222B and 1222C are suitable for bonding and for the fix sealing, coating, and potting of general electric and electronic equipment, because they offer the excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, weather resistance, durability, and electric properties of silicone rubber. These sealants are typically used in fixing parts on a printed-circuit board, in sealing connectors, in the dielectric sealing of electric apparatus, and in the moisture-proof coating of devices. They are also used in fixing parts on printed-circuit boards in airtight or semi-airtight control units that contain such mechanical parts as relays, switches, and motors in VCR, OA and communication equipment, or automobiles. They are also used for moisture-proof coatings.
